First Easter

How on earth has it been almost a month since Easter!? I swear, I wake up in the mornings, blink my eyes, and the day is gone. That happens over and over. And before I know it, it's a month later. Then 6 months later. Then crazy things start happening like my baby girl trying to turn a YEAR old (*tears*). Time just flies by too fast. Anyway, I digress. So back to Easter.

We had a wonderful Easter Sunday. We headed to church that morning, followed by lunch as a family, then we stopped by some local gardens to take a few {hundred} pictures of Ella Grace (which are posted HERE) before heading home. For some reason the Easter bunny was a little late to our house and didn't stop by with an Easter basket until that afternoon after someone took a nap. EG got lots of cute stuff in her basket. Her goodies included some new PJs, a swimsuit, "mini" PINK lint rollers (lint rollers are just one of those really strange things she is obsessed with, so I bought her pink ones in her size! She loves them!), books and a bubble machine!

I have to admit, I wasn't really all that excited to do the egg hunting part of Easter because she's not walking yet, and obviously she wouldn't understand that she needed to find them. But, we did it anyway. For pictures more than anything. But I am SO glad we did! She had so much fun! I know she didn't understand what exactly was happening, but she was having fun and that's all that matters! She got so excited when she saw an egg and got to put it in her basket : ) It was the cutest thing.

Then she sat in the grass and played with her eggs for like 30 minutes. Sweet girl!

All the Easter baskets and egg hunting is so fun, but the real joy of this day comes from the fact that our Savior is RISEN! He is ALIVE! Praise! So, just as I felt about Christmas with Ella Grace (and any future siblings she might have), as much fun as it is at this age I am totally looking forward to sharing the true meanings of these "holidays" with her as she grows older : ) I hope you all had a wonderful Easter as well!

  4. She is seriously the cutest thing ever! Looks like ya'll had a great Easter day!

I love the bubble machine, I wish I would have found that. We got a bubble gun that blows bubbles constantly and that was a big help, but if I could turn it on and just let it go, boy that would be awesome! :)
