Nana and Papa Coop Visit!

Nana and Papa Coop came to visit just before Thanksgiving while Papa was home visiting from overseas. We had a GREAT time with them and Ella Grace was so excited to spend time with them : ) We took a trip to Bass Pro Shop for the guys and Ella Grace also met Santa for the very first time that day (I will post Santa pictures separately). EG picked out a cool four wheeler and a nice boat she wanted!

Checking out the Christmas stuff with Daddy and Nana

Sweet kisses!

We always love when Nana and Papa can visit us! And we can't wait until they make it back soon! We LOVE you Nana and Papa Coop!

6 Months Old!

Ella Grace,

I absolutely cannot believe you are 6 months old! I mean, half a year has gone by already!?!? That is just beyond crazy!!! This has been such a fun month! You are such a happy, content baby. You are always on the move, crawling everywhere. You are an extremely busy little person. There is no sitting still in your world! I love that you love to move around and explore everything, but it does make me sad that you are too busy to let Mommy hold and cuddle you. Hopefully, that will change in the future. You are Mommy's bestest friend! We do everything together and I wouldn't have it any other way! I LOVE our shopping trips together and just getting out and about walking around, visiting Daddy at work, browsing around the bookstore or whatever. You are so good, I can pretty much take you anywhere. This month Mommy and you took our first trip alone, without Daddy. We visited Papaw for his 75th birthday! The driving part was okay, you did fuss some but I can't blame you for getting tired of riding in that carseat for so long. But we had a great trip! You met your great aunt Julie, went to "big church" for the first time, and even had a taste of Papaw's birthday cake! This month, you also celebrated your first Thanksgiving with Mommy and Daddy. Mommy let you taste some yummy Thanksgiving food (dressing, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, and even a little taste of pumpkin pie!) You LOVED it all! I can't believe we will be celebrating your first Christmas next month! I can't wait to keep making memories with you : ) You have such a sweet, fun personality. You are such a joy to Mommy and Daddy! We love you SO. VERY. MUCH!!!!

6 Month Stats

Weight: 17 pounds 4 ounces

Length: 26 1/2 inches

Clothes size: 3-6 months and 6 months

Diaper size: 2 and 3

Daily Routine: You wake up around 7 a.m. and nurse. Then you play in your exersaucer and watch TV for until about 8:30 or 9:00. Then it's time for your first nap. Thankfully the naps have gotten MUCH better in the last month, but sadly you still will not let Mommy rock you to sleep : ( You just want to be laid down in your crib so you can get comfy on your own. You sleep anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours. After your nap you nurse again, then you and Mommy play, clean up, run errands, whatever needs to be done that day. You usually have an afternoon snack nursing session then lay down for your second nap somewhere between 1 and 2:30. After your afternoon nap, you eat again then usually play in your exersaucer while Mommy cooks dinner and/or gets ready for work. You go to sleep at 6:00 p.m. Yes, that's 6! I mean if we can stretch you to 6:30 that's good! So, you nurse and then go to sleepy time for the night.

Feeding: You still nurse about 4 times a day. Right after you wake up, lunch, afternoon "snack," then dinner! You have done SO great eating! Your first solid food (other than rice cereal) was carrots. You LOVED them! You then had bananas and squash. Add to that sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, green beans, and applesauce! You haven't turned anything down yet! I just hope that as you get older you continue to be such a good eater.

Sleep: Still sleeping like an angel 12-13 hours a night! We are VERY thankful! Mommy and Daddy know what a blessing that is!

Hair Color: Brown

Eye color: Brown, but sometimes greenish.

Milestones: You are officially crawling EVERYWHERE!!! You are constantly on the move! Unless you are alseep or in the exersaucer you are moving! Trying to get somewhere or get something. You are so very active and curious about everything! You celebrated your first Thanksgiving and also visitied the Christmas tree farm to help pick out your very first Christmas tree!

Your favorite toy: You still love your exersaucer, but you REALLY like cell phones! And you still love tags and always trying to pull out the drawers on the dressers so you can try to eat the handles. You love anything shiny and spakly, including Mommy's jewelry (definitely a GIRL!)

5 Months Old!

Ella Grace,

This month you have proved that you are one energetic little girl! You are already "scooting" around all over the house. You get up on your hands and knees, start rocking, then take a couple of "crawls", then it's back down to you belly to "scoot." I guess you know you can move way faster just scooting around : ) You are curious about everything around you! This month you don't seem to scoot to specific objects, you just like to be on the go! You are starting to sit up all by yourself and you think you are such a big girl : ) Well, I guess you are...in some ways. This month was your first Halloween! You were a ladybug. The CUTEST ladybug I've ever seen! You also took your first trip to the pumpkin patch where you had your first hayride to pick out your very own pumpkin : ) You are such a fun, happy baby. I love playing with you and watching you get excited over the smallest things! This month I also noticed you started holding your arms out for us to pick you up. Talk about melting Mommy's heart! You continue to be such a blessing to Mommy and Daddy. You are simply amazing! We love you!

You did okay with it, but you weren't loving it. We just tried it every few days for a couple of weeks until you got used to eating from a spoon.

Sleep: Still sleeping like an angel 12-13 hours a night! We are VERY thankful! Mommy and Daddy know what a blessing that is!

Milestones: You can sit up all by yourself! Such a big girl! You can also bring yourself up into a sitting position from your tummy. You are starting to crawl! You are "scooting" ALL over the place!!! It doesn't really matter if you learn to crawl because you scoot yourself anywhere you want to go! Mommy cannot believe you are already SO mobile! I was NOT ready for that at this age! But I am SO glad you are SO smart : ) Also, it was your first Halloween!

Your favorite toy: Exersaucer for sure! You love to sit in it like a big girl and play with all kinds of toys and watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Baby Einstein!
