After I graduated from college a couple of years ago, I started reading again...for fun! And it felt weird! I swear for months after I was finally a nurse, I had to figure out how to have hobbies again. I almost felt guilty for not studying...for something!!! I know that sounds stupid but my nurse friends will understand : )
The first books I really remember reading after school was the Twilight series. I jumped on this bandwagon WAY late. I thought I would NEVER read books about vampires...who does that anyway!?!?!? Honestly, I'm really not a fan of fiction but after I kept hearing EVERYONE talk about this series I thought, well...I at least have to see what the big deal is. So...yeah, you know how it goes...I completely LOVED these books. I'm still not sure why...it's totally not me to like something so NOT real, but what can I say...they're just GOOD!!! I would say if you haven't read the Twilight series yet to go for it, but I was so far behind everyone on these that I'm sure you've all read it...if you are at all interested.
Now, finally to the whole point of this post. I just finished a book called The Shack by William P. Young. I don't want to say what it's about, because I don't want to ruin it for anyone who wants to check it out. This is a Christian fiction book. Honestly, I wasn't too sure about it at first. It gives you a VERY different perspective of God, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, but it helped me grasp the idea of the Trinity SO much more! It really touched my heart and made me think about my relationship with Jesus. So, if you're up for it I definitely recommend this book to you!!!
I am having my "weekend" these next couple of days since I will be working Saturday, Sunday and Monday. But of course it is suppose to rain every day that I'm off...ugh!...ALWAYS! So, I guess it will be a couple of cleaning and reading days. I hope you are having a great week so far!
